Hi, I’m Melanie, and I’m so glad you’re here! My journey into blogging started with a big leap of faith and a deep desire to build a life that worked for me and my family—not the other way around. Let me share a little about how I got here and how I can help you grow your own blogging income.

I started my career in real estate, a demanding but rewarding job that came with its share of sacrifices. I was constantly glued to my phone, missing precious moments with my kids, and always at the beck and call of clients. While I’m grateful for the experiences and opportunities it provided, I knew it wasn’t a sustainable path for the next chapter of my life.

As I transitioned out of real estate, I began going live daily on Facebook, sharing crafting projects and connecting with an audience I’d built through my brick-and-mortar store. At first, there was no monetization—just a passion for creating and sharing. But as my following grew to around 40,000, I started wondering if there was more to this online world. That’s when a friend asked me, “Have you thought about blogging?”

To be honest, I had no idea what blogging really was or that it could be profitable. But I was curious, and I dove in, determined to figure it out. I had big questions: Could blogging generate a meaningful income? Could it replace—or at least come close to—what I made in real estate without the constant grind?

The short answer: Yes, it could. But it took work, persistence, and learning a whole new skill set. My first year of blogging was what I like to call “blogging blindly.” I had no road map, and there weren’t many people willing to share their secrets to success. So, I started my podcast, interviewing experienced bloggers to learn what worked and what didn’t. Slowly but surely, I began to see results.

One of the biggest turning points came when I set my sights on Mediavine, a premium ad network. I had just reached 25,000 page views when they raised their threshold to 50,000. It was a tough moment, but instead of giving up, I doubled down on my efforts. In just 30 days, I gained another 25,000 page views and was accepted into Mediavine. That milestone changed everything, transforming blogging from a frustrating hobby into a real source of income.

Now, after five years of consistent effort, blogging has become second nature for me and my husband, Brett, who’s joined me on this journey. It hasn’t just replaced my real estate income—it’s created a flexible, fulfilling life that I wouldn’t trade for anything.

My passion now is helping others like you find that same freedom. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to grow your existing blog into a full-time income, I’m here to share the systems, strategies, and insights that have worked for me.

Oh, and one fun fact about me? My mom named me after Melanie from Gone with the Wind. Maybe that’s why I’ve always believed in staying true to what matters most—family, creativity, and living a life you love.
