205 | 3 Simple Solutions for Making Faster Decisions

This week on the podcast, I’m opening up about something I’ve been struggling with lately—decision fatigue. If you’re a creative entrepreneur, you’ve likely felt the weight of too many choices, too many paths, and too little clarity.

Whether you’re stuck in analysis paralysis, asking everyone you know for their opinion, or overthinking every possible outcome—this episode is for you.

Why Decision Fatigue Is Holding You Back

Let’s be honest. Indecision isn’t just frustrating. It’s a dream killer.
You may not even realize how heavy that unmade decision is until you finally make it—and feel the relief wash over you. I’ve been there too.

In this episode, I break down the three common types of indecision-makers:

  • The Fence-Sitter: waiting for more info, more clarity, more certainty.
  • The Overthinker: paralyzed by possibilities and worst-case scenarios.
  • The Info-Seeker: crowdsourcing input from everyone (even unqualified people!).

And if you’re like me, you might be a mix of all three.

3 Simple Solutions for Decision Fatigue

1. Decide Ahead of Time
Have key pillars in your business that guide your choices. When the shiny objects pop up, you already know your direction. Think of it like meal planning—but for your business.

2. Start Small
Can’t decide on a big move? Make smaller, low-risk choices first to build confidence. Choose something reversible or less impactful and get used to taking action.

3. Use a Pros and Cons List—or Just PICK
Yes, I literally wrote my options on slips of paper, dropped them in a cup, and prayed over the choice. It sounds simple (and maybe a little silly), but it worked. And that decision lifted a weight off my shoulders.

Your Next Step

If you’re facing a decision right now—big or small—know that inaction can be more painful than making the wrong choice. It drains your energy, stalls your progress, and keeps your goals at arm’s length.

You don’t have to wait until it’s perfect. Just take the next step. And if you want to go deeper, grab a copy of my book, Creatives on Fire: 71 Secrets to Making Money Online, at creativesonfirepodcast.com/book.

You’ve got this. Make the decision. Move forward. And stay creative.
